Many historically excluded creators have been denied the opportunity to resource themselves. This may include: building a high-profile network, having a reliable support system, living in a safe community or home, receiving promotions at work, or increasing their wealth.

They have also had to do the additional emotional labor of battling trauma and stigma.

Because of this, those who might benefit from coaching the most are the least likely to have the time and money to do it.

As a woman from a middle-class family beset by addiction and mental health issues, I’ve faced similar limitations. But, as a cis, neurotypical white American, I’ve also been given numerous privileges. I aim to use that privilege to resource historically excluded creators so they can thrive in life and work.

As I grow my coaching practice, I plan to keep my DEI rates low.
